An elegant late 18th-century Piedmontese footstool, finely carved and gilt. The apron richly carved with ribbonwork and beading, centred by a refined floral festoon; the legs turned and carved with rhythmic ornament, consistent with late 18th-century taste. Padded seat upholstered with a light-toned striped fabric.
