Monochrome green and manganese painted maiolica. The ewer has a pear-shaped body with pronounced lower bulge and raised ribbing; the shaped lid is topped with a crest-like finial, and the ribbon handle flows gracefully to the body. The foot flares slightly above a concave base.
The basin rests on a flat base, with sharply lobed contours and a raised, scalloped rim — a form clearly inspired by silverwork, especially Genoese models.
The surface shows intense emerald green decoration with views of clustered houses, arches, towers, and pitched roofs. These appear within metopes bordered by bare branches, with some reserves featuring wading birds in flight.
