Immaculate Madonna, Genoa

Description
A carved, gilt and polychrome wooden figure of the Immaculate Virgin,  Genoa first half of the 18th century.
Details

The Virgin appears in an ascending pose, head gently inclined, hands crossed over her chest; a pale gown and green mantle complete the traditional iconography. The figure stands on a globe with cherubs’ heads at the base and retains a metal halo of stars.

Condition
Good, with age-related wear consistent with the period (as per photographs).
