This rare and refined mirror is distinguished by its elegant serpentine outline and the expressive cherub heads crowning the top, an iconic feature of Roman craftsmanship of the period.

The frame is carved with foliage, scrolls, and cartouches, and finished with an ornamental mask at the base. The original gold leaf gilding has developed a soft patina, enhancing authenticity. Period mercury glass, lightly oxidised.
