The renown of the four Raingo brothers began with their activity as clockmakers; in 1841 they expanded their repertoire to include bronzes and furniture.

Celebrated for the superb quality of their gilt bronze, in 1860 Raingo Frères supplied furnishings for the apartments of Emperor Napoleon III and Empress Eugénie. Examples of their work are now held in the Louvre collection (source: 19th Century Antiques).
