Description
A Louis XIV shaped front and sides two-drawer chest, Genoa, first half of the 18th century.
Details

An elegant two-drawer chest, its sinuous front and sides typical of Genoese production in the early 18th century. Inspired by the Louis XIV style with Régence accents, the piece features book-matched palisander veneer enhanced by rosewood fillets that underscore its refined character. The top, in Broccatello di Spagna marble, adds a further touch of sophistication. Gilt bronze mounts with rocaille motifs and the exquisite workmanship of the fine woods attest to the quality of its manufacture and its aristocratic provenance.
