This elegant Louis XVI-style demilune chest, crafted in Piedmont in the late 1700s, features a semi-circular structure with a tripartite front: an upper drawer, a central door concealing two internal drawers, and two lateral doors seamlessly integrated into the curved design.
Veneered with rosewood, palisander, and exotic woods, arranged in geometric and herringbone patterns, and finely edged with precious wood fillets that enhance its refined inlay work.
The shaped marble top, likely Carrara marble, follows the graceful half-moon outline.Adorned with finely chased and gilded bronze mounts—handles, escutcheons, and neoclassical rosettes—all executed with great attention to detail. The fluted, truncated pyramidal legs end in bronze sabots, lending balance and vertical elegance to the piece.
